“Small but mighty” Imp Designs has relaunched the Valley Metro website in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Valley Metro website was quietly relaunched by Imp Designs in the wee hours of Sunday, December 28th in conjunction with the launch of the METRO light rail system for the city of Phoenix. The new site features a revamped look and feel and the addition of a task based navigation system. In addition to the new look and feel, Imp Designs also designed and programmed the mechanism for managing the flash banners which appear on the home page.
Imp Designs was chosen by Valley Metro after they decided to use Expression Engine as the content management system for the agency’s new site. In July, Imp Designs completed migration of all the site content into ExpressionEngine and began the process of reorganizing and refacing the site. The task included coordinating input from several agencies in Phoenix as well as two other developers and three IT departments. This segment of the project is an interim solution as Imp Designs has been asked to assist with a total site rewrite which should launch in July/August of 2009.
